What is an elder? Who should be an elder? What does an elder do? Too many times we place people in certain positions because they’re successful or influential without fully thinking through what God has said about eldership and what qualifications He requires. Elders are described as being “shepherds”. What does a shepherd of God’s people and family look like? What does it mean to help feed, guide, guard, and heal the people who are part of a church?

Communion is an opportunity to eat a meal with God as family and friends. In many traditions, it is treated like an altar. The cross was the place where sacrifice and sin were dealt with.
